Karjaa 700 seminar

On Saturday, 7 February 2026, the Museum of Western Uusimaa is organising a Karjaa 700 seminar in cooperation with the Karis Local History Association. The seminar is bilingual in Finnish and Swedish, free of charge and open to anyone interested in the topic, and it presents research on Karis in recent years. At the seminar, four different researchers will present the results of their work, which range from ancient castles through mythical creatures from the Middle Ages and folk beliefs to the events of 1918.
