From Putte to Piazzolla
“From Putte to Piazzolla” is a concert organized by Karis Ungdomsförening rf (Karis Youth Association) as part of the celebrations marking the 700th anniversary of Karis. The concert puts a special spotlight on “Pumpviken’s Putte”, alias Dick Granroth (1934–1998), as well as the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla (1921–1992).
Bandoneon virtuoso Henrik Sandås, originally from Karis, will perform music by Piazzolla with his trio, featuring Adele Sauros on saxophone and Tarmo Anttila on double bass.
Karis resident and music enthusiast Teddy Granroth will perform music by Dick Granroth both solo and together with Raseborg Male Choir. Also appearing on stage is singer-songwriter Agneta Falk, who will perform her own songs as well as songs by other artists with her unique sound.
Surprises with Karistema can also be expected. Sanna Himmelroos will serve as host and producer.
